Summer Student Position
Landfill Assistant

The Township of Drummond/North Elmsley is seeking a Part-Time Summer Student to assist at the Code Road Landfill interacting with Landfill customers to determine which disposal area they require and directing them accordingly. Assist with moving items to appropriate areas, assist in the scale house and with litter control. 

Job Requirements:

  • Student returning to school in the fall
  • A resident of Ontario and eligible to work in Canada
  • Communication skills
  • Excel and Word computer skills an asset
  • WHIMIS is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Have CSA approved work boots

The job offer will be conditional upon satisfactory criminal records search.  Start date to be determined.  26 hours per week.  Hours include Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The wage rate is $16.60/hour under the age of 18 and $17.60/hour over the age of 18. A detailed job description is available on the Township website www.dnetownship.ca
