Paul Kehoe

Elected to first term 2018.

Paul was raised in North Elmsley Township just outside of Rideau Ferry, attended North Elmsley Public School and PDCI. After graduating college in Environmental Technology he was employed by the Ministry of Environment. He was a Provincial Officer with the Ministry for over 30 years as an Environmental Officer in various locations within the province and as a District Supervisor in Ottawa. His latest position was with the Ministry of Natural Resources as an Area Supervisor in Kingston. After his retirement he worked part time for Pinchin Ltd an environmental consulting firm as a Municipal Advisor to communities in Northern Ontario until his election in 2018. 

Paul has been a long-time community volunteer with 1st Drummond Scouts and throughout the area. He currently is the Warden of the Whispering Pines Scout Camp on Otty Lake.  
 
He and his wife, Joy have three children and have lived on a small farm off the Tennyson Road for the past 32 years. 
 
He is looking forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of the Township for another term.

Clerks Department

The Clerk's Office and staff provide corporate, customer and statutory services to the public, other departments and external agencies. A few of the key activities include:

  • to operate the Clerk's Office in accordance with the statutory requirements of the Municipal Act, Planning Act and other related statutes, as well as directions from Council and the CAO
  • to provide legislative support to Council and Committees;
  • to prepare Agendas, Minutes, By-laws, Agreements and related corporate documents;
  • to record Council and Committee proceedings and maintain the official records of the Municipality (by-laws, minutes, policies agreements etc.);
  • to respond to requests for access to municipal records received under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act;
  • to serve as a general information office with respect to a broad range of inquiries from the public;
  • to conduct municipal and school board elections;
  • to provide secretarial services and administrative support to Municipal advisory committees, and ad-hoc committees as determined by Council;
  • to administer the Line Fences Act;
  • to administer the Livestock Damage Program
